OK now for some really juicy news! Congratulations are in order for Shane and Amy; did Shane propose on Valentine's Day? I don't know, but he did slip the info into his speech today, noting that the paparazzi were not chasing him all over, despite this news-breaking event. He did however, go on to present a wonderful #6 speech, working exquisitely with words, titled "In the News". Kudos Shane, on both the engagement and the presentation.

We had a stellar cast of characters today portrayed by Stephanie, Fran, Gretchen, Neil and Lauri, who Toastmastered, Evaluated, Timed, Ah counted and Wordmastered (respectively) in perfect harmony.

Our Table Topic led by Mitch, Music That Moves Your Soul, even drew former Geospeaker Quenton back to the fold, where she graced our meeting with mellifluous excerpts of songs, for which of course she was awarded Most Eloquent.

Lauri provided us with the Most Interesting description of his favorite instrument, a bassoon that can reach a range of mellifluous notes.

Carol won her first ever Most Humorous Table Topic trophy for revealing her most embarrassing music addiction; the Herman's Hermits (some of us are old enough to remember them, right?). A huge accomplishment for me, since two of the most honored humorous award winners, Fran and Shane, were both present and in great form today as well.

OK, and as long as I'm Master Evaluator, I get to award a close runner up to Ann for her elegant description of her love for Latin music, or any music she can dance to, Gretchen for not whistling while she works, Neil for torturing his child with his choice of music when he's driving, Shane for becoming a symphony season ticket holder (even though he hasn’t gone to one yet), Stephanie for the one banjo song that plays on; I'll fly away, and Fran, for her love of Country Western music.
