Phase 3

Shear Wave Velocity Boundary for Triggering Liquefaction

Shear wave velocity boundary for triggering liquefaction.

With shear wave velocities processed in PHASE II, we can populate "load-resistance" space (earthquake-cyclic stress ratio vs. Vs1) with the new field data. The project goal is to produce new deterministic and probabilitic boundary curves for the triggering of liquefaction. Bayesian updating and structural reliability techniques are used to develop the probabilistic modeling. We are now working on Phases II & III.
