Purpose
Collect time series measurements of salinity, temperature, chlorophyll a, and
suspended sediment concentration at two locations: one inside and one outside
Liberty Bay. Also collect sediment samples to analyze for grain size and
contaminants, and water samples to analyze for nutrients.
Information to be Derived
Variation in primary productivity on tidal through monthly time scales.
Variations in nutrient levels over two month period. Sediment grain size and
chemistry.
Summary
Deployed March 31, 2006, retrieval May 25, 2006 (scheduled)
Notes
20-ft boat (unnamed). SeaBird Conductivity and temperature sensors,
flourometers, optical backscatter sensors.
