          Bivalve shells were oriented --- Concave down.
          Red granite --- No.
          Additional comments --- Dead shells in growth position similar to others except
               contains more sand.

     Description of depositional interval from 7 cm to 12 cm ---
          Color of unit --- Light olive grey.
          Sediment texture --- Pebbly fine sandy mud.  Semi-consolidated.  Pebbles of 
               mixed lithologies.
          Sedimentary structures --- Massive.
          Bedding features --- None.
          Percent of bioturbation --- 100%
          Paleontologic observation --- Live macoma, and polycheate worms.

     Description of depositional interval from 13 cm to 44 cm ---
          Color of unit --- Olive grey.
          Sediment texture --- Pebbly silty mud with small polished black pebbles
               scattered throughout.
          Sedimentary structures --- Massive.
          Bedding features --- None.
          Percent of bioturbation --- 100%
          Paleontologic observation --- Complex and simple burrows, anemone burrow, 
               one Macoma shell, and recent Mya was found in growth position.
