          Sediment texture --- Muddy medium sand with gravel and lots of shells.  Largest
                gravel 3 cm.
          Sedimentary surface features --- Maybe ripples, bioturbated with amphipod tube
               on surface.
          Most abundant living fauna --- Liocyma, Tube-amphipods, a few thin worms,
               serripes, Macoma, Mysids, Retus.
          Paleontologic observation --- Hiatella, Retus, Cycloccardia, sand dollar, bryozoa,
               serripes, solocria (?), hydrozoa, Velutina (?), M(___?)
          Bivalve shells were oriented concave --- Down.
          Red granite --- Yes.
          Additional comments --- Concentration of shells at bottom of core.  Shell 
               fragments irregular - many whole.  Barnacles comprise the (___?).  Core
