          Surface thickness --- 14 cm
          Sediment texture --- Medium sand, well sorted.  Small pebbles, rounded.
          Most abundant living fauna --- Sand dollars, Astarte m., worms, sm. Amphipods,
               Liocyma clam (pair), Neptunea, cyclocardia, Serripes.
          Paleontologic observation --- Large sand dollar fragments, barnacle fragment,
               Thracia sp., reinforced worms, shell fragment majority.
          Bivalve shells were orientated concave --- Mostly down.
          Red granite --- No.
          Additional comments --- Fragments (sand dollar), Astarte m. in growth position,
               Liocyma clams.  Box washed - surface critters found.  Core described by M.
