Sediment texture: silty mud w/ localized deposited of coarse sand and gravel (3at 30 and 35 cm Mud has high organic content. C.Sedimentary structures: Massive. Two pockets of sand and gravel are the only bedding features. D.Paleontologic obsevervation: Shell fragment in sand at the base of the unit. Tube anemone trace. E.Contact: Erosional with the upper unit being much less dense than the lower unit. F.Additional comments: Scatter dropstone. The largest 2cm in diameter. Possible black chert or ? Description of Depostional Interval 35 cm to 141 cm A.Color of unit: Olive gray w/ scattered black streaks B. Sediment texture: Very dense mud w/ scattered dropstones. Dropstone range in size from coarse sand to gravel (3cm diameter). Most stone are angular, but a few were rounded.Mineralogy quartzite C.Sedimentary structures: Massive. Two deformed laminar black layers at 95 and 118cm respectfully. D.Paleontologic obsevervation: 100 % bioturbation. No worm traces seen. E.Contact: bottom of core F.Additional comments: General- 3 mud units that increased in density with depth. at 560 cm
