Purpose
Collect vibracores from the subsurface to investigate the geological evolution
of Apalachicola Bay.
Information to be Derived
Ground truth seismic data collected in 2007, Investigate sediment grain size,
radiocarbon dating, identify microfossil presence and abundance, and examine
the contact composition of the lithostratigraphic units.
Summary
Vibracores, box cores, and grab samples will be collected in the field and
returned to USGS FISC St. Petersburg for analysis
Got Help? For 09CCT05, we would appreciate any information on -- analog materials, contract, days at sea, dive count, equipment used, funding, kms of navigation, national plan, NGDC Info, notes, owner, project number, publications, scanned materials, seismic description, station count, station description, submersible, tabulated info.
