|
Ground Elevation and vegetation heights referenced to control point Pt. Mark
on the Chandeleur Islands in various ground cover environments.

Summary
|
Established 5 temporary control points tied to Pt. Mark using differential
GPS. These control points were used as reference marks for station
establishment of the total station. The total station was used to obtain
ground elevations referenced to the WGS84 ellipsoid in six different ground
cover
Environments including: bare earth; shallow water; emergent vegetation; tall
vegetation; short vegetation and mangrove scrub.

Notes
|
University of New Orleans will revisit some of the same sites using Real Time
Kinematic (RTK) GPS during the actual mapping flights.
