Purpose
To characterize the microbial community associated with the deep-sea coral
Lophelia pertusa
Information to be Derived
Bacterial-community species composition, presence of specific functional genes,
identification of novel microbial species
Notes
Staff: Julie Galkiewicz, USF student
Shop time: Dave Wegner welded and drilled brackets (~1 hour). Additional shop usage by Kellogg to repair the sampler and rebuild shipping crate (~2 hours).
