    dated 1 August 1986 states:
    
         Enclosed one magnetic tape with Day 047/0630-1200 and
         Day 52/0900-54/0300.
    
         Data from 4/0100-49/0504 was in general bad, the section
         noted above is the only bit I would consider using.
    
         Data from the start of line 416 is average to poor in quality,
         especially with respect to base level shift.  The relative
         values along the line are probably accurate to about five
         milligals, especially over the Iselin Bank, hence I used
         the data for modelling.  However as an accurate data set
         for data bases I would only include them after further
         checking with good quality cross lines.  Hence they were
         left out of the data tape I forwarded.
