Equipment Used
Navigation-GPS
LiCOR CO2 analyzer (MBL)
Purpose
Quantify greenhouse gas fluxes from salt marsh sediment, including their
responses to nutrient additions through field measurements and manipulations.
Information to be Derived
Samples and Chemical Analysis
Summary
Gas flux chambers were placed on the salt marsh surface, and fluxes were
measured of nitrous oxide, methane and carbon dioxide. Variability with space
and time was examined, and influence of nitrogen availability of sunlight was
examined.
Notes
8 days at sea.
