.E00 is an ARC/INFO interchange file format used
for system independent exchange of geographic information
system (GIS) coverages and associated data.
An interchange
file contains all spatial feature information and associated
attribute data in a fixed-length ASCII format.
The interchange format was developed by Environmental Systems
Research Institute (ESRI) makers of Arc/Info, ArcView and
ArcGIS software, see
