Description Darkroom for processing x-radiographs of marine sediment cores, coral cores, and thin rock slabs.
Specialized
Equipment
New AFP X-Ray film processor. Table top, portable, and self contained film processor for standard sheet or strip x-ray film.
Equipment
and
Technique
This laboratory contains a table top, portable, and self contained AFP X-Ray film processor for standard sheet or strip film based x-radiographs. The portable nature and self contained features allows its use in the field. One simply has to ensure that the system is filled with the proper amounts of photochemicals and water, then simply insert either strips or sheets of exposed X-Ray film and the processor automatically runs the film through the developing, fixing, rinse, and drying cycles.
