The U.S. Geological Survey in Menlo Park hosted an Open House, May 30 - June 1, 2003.

At the USGS Open House, a very popular interactive activity was "Dress Like a Marine Geologist."

Participants donned maritime field attire and were video captured against a green screen background. Using a chroma key unit, an "at sea" scene replaced the background. The image was placed on the web.

Dress Like a Marine Geologist

Once the participants were dressed up, they stood in front of a green screen and their image was patched into a marine-geology scene.
