Box Core Xrays
Samples of the dredged material in Mamala Bay were collected with a box corer. From them we are learning about the physical and chemical nature of the material and how it affects animals living on the seafloor. USGS Open File Report 95-839 describes the boxcore sampling procedures. Click on any of the core sample numbers listed below to view an xray of the core.
