Product Summary

screen capture showing LineIndicator steering information

LineIndicator is a YoNav client application that isolates and displays a steering indicator that shows the cross track error for the line that is currently being run by the YoNav server. The LineIndicator window is fully resizable. The cross track indicator is auto-scaling and is intended to be completely hands off.

The LineIndicator application derives its information from the YoNav sockets based navigation server. The current line being surveyed is selected by the YoNav Surveyor map based client application. As a new survey line is selected, the Line Indicator will automatically pick up the new parameters from the YoNav server.

The units displayed are always in meters with negative values representing the vessel when it is to the left of the survey line and positive values when the vessel is to the right of the survey line. The text displayed above the red cross track position indicator is the exact amount of cross track error. This value is displayed in green for cross track errors to port and in red for cross track errors to starboard.
