Mooring deployment and recovery in Monterey Bay August 15 - August 18, 1996

The floats, which hold the instruments up off the bed, are normally strung out in a straight line.

On recovery, they may tangle as they return through nearly 2 miles of water after the anchor is released.

The current meters are brought aboard after the floats.
