Larger View, JPEG (237kb).

Shaded relief bathymetry of Lake Tahoe, California-Nevada. Bathymetry data collected using a multibeam sonar system (15m water depth and deeper) is combined with bathymetry data collected using an airborne lidar system (15m water depth and shallower). The combined bathymetry data is color coded for depth and merged with Landsat-7 imagey (bands 3, 2, 1) of the surrounding land. The lake is about 34 km (21 miles) long, north to south.
