Stereo relief of Lake Tahoe, California-Nevada, including the lake floor and surrounding land. The stereo relief image was created using multibeam bathymetry data of the lake floor and USGS 10-meter, 7.5-minute DEMs of the surrounding land. The lake is about 34 km (21 miles) long, north to south.

To create your own 3-D glasses:

• Place a piece of transparent red plastic paper in front of your left eye
• Place a piece of transparent blue plastic paper in front of your right eye
• Stare at the image for a moment, and the topography will seem to pop out at you.
