This image shows the patchy nature of the actual living reef rising from the drowned reef (orange-B) that is in water depths between 50 and 75 m. View is looking east toward pass between Maui (on left) and Kahoolawe (on right). The scale across the bottom of the image is 3.3 km. The vertical exaggeration is 5x.
