Index Back to home page About these Web Pages Acknowledgments Conclusions Relations and Results Radar Methods Treasure Island Objectives Abstract

This study was part of a larger earthquake-engineering experiment led by researchers at the University of California, San Diego and Brigham Young University. Generous support came from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the National Science Foundation. All testing at Treasure Island was conducted in cooperation with the United States Navy and the City of San Francisco. We especially thank Brad Carkin, who endured long days in knee-deep mud to collect the GPR data.
