Observe coastal change in the near shore area of Cape Hatteras.
Information to be Derived
Time series data;Grain size analysis;Shoreline erosion;Sea floor
map;Bathymetric maps;LIDAR, RADAR, aerial survey
Time series instrumentation was deployed at 14 sites in the nearshore
area, a video camera was mounted on the lighthouse, a coastal radar was
installed on the beach. Targets for aerial surveys were installed on the
Carolinas: Sediment Transport.
Data types: Bathymetric, Other geochemical, Location/Navigation, Notes/Logs,
Oceanographic Measurement, Photos, Samples/Cores, Video
Related Web Sites:
Amount of continuous data is a guess, Hypack position and bathymetry
was recorded for some transects during the course of the experiment.
