Sampling: Core and Grab Samplers

A variety of coring and sampling devices provide sediment for texture analysis and stratigraphy that are used to map the distribution of surficial facies and help establish the chronology of tectonic activity and sedimentation.

At Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center, sediment sample collection is a large part of our work.
