<abstract>
As part of the USGS California State Mapping website,
this Google Maps KMZ file shows the location and extent of
the project's publication map sheets. The map will be updated as needed.
</abstract>
<purpose>
The California Seafloor Mapping Program is a cooperative partnership
between state, federal agencies, universities, and industry
to create a comprehensive coastal/marine geologic and habitat base map series
for all of California's state waters.
The U.S. Geological Survey, Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center maintains
the California Seafloor Mapping Program website with this page dedicated
to showing the extent of mapping and ground-truth progress.
