GIS Data & Metadata

Published data catalogs are listed below. Each data catalog contains GIS data files listed with a brief description, small image, metadata files, and downloadable file. The data were compiled in ArcMap (detailed information on version is provided on each data catalog page or link below). Raster data layers are registered TIFF. Point, line, and polygon features are in shapefile format.

The downloadable files have been compressed with the "zip" command. Zip files can be uncompressed with Winzip (or other tool) on Windows systems, or with Archive Utility (or other tool) on Macintosh systems. The .zip file for a TIFF image includes the image (.tif), the world registration file (.tfw), and metadata files (.txt and .xml). The .zip for a shapefile includes a .aux, .dbf, .shp, .shx, .sbx, and .sbn file, and the metadata .txt file. Each data catalog also includes a .zip file of the ArcMap document (mxd).
